Want a beautiful smile full of bright, straight teeth?

For some people, it’s as simple as visiting the dentist for a whitening procedure. For others, the process can be a bit more involved. If your teeth are chipped, cracked, or otherwise affecting your smile, you may want to speak to your dentist about dental bonding or veneers.

Dental bonding: Bonding requires adhering a tooth-colored plastic material to your teeth in order to lighten stains, correct crooked or uneven teeth, close minor gaps, or fix chips and cracks. Bonding is usually recommended to correct just a few individual teeth, making it a cheaper and faster alternative to veneers. The process is reversible and although it only takes an hour to apply, can last for up to 10 years with proper dental hygiene.

Veneers: Veneers are made of thin porcelain custom molded for your smile and then bonded to your teeth. Veneers offer a more dramatic change to the appearance of your mouth and can correct issues such as chipped or broken teeth, crowding, gaps, and misshapen or uneven teeth. Veneers are more expensive than dental bonding and the custom process can be lengthy, but with proper dental hygiene they are often more durable and longer-lasting.

If you think bonding or veneers are right for you, talk to your dentist about improving your smile at your next visit.
